Since the project’s scope excluded altering the original brick, windows, front door, or architectural form, the clients’ desire for a contemporary refresh needed to be expressed through a thoughtful interplay of modern and traditional elements. The crisp white-painted brick and black windows establish a clean, updated foundation, while the sage-green garage door and structured boxwood hedges—with hydrangeas nestled behind—introduce a softened, classic charm. Large-format stepping stones leading to the entry provide a bold contemporary gesture, gently balanced by the curved path and finer-scale edging details. The clients sought a home that felt contemporary, balanced, and sophisticated — and the fusion of styles delivers exactly that.
