Project Lorne Park is, at its heart, a study in pattern. In the library especially, the delicate floral wallpaper, the embroidered tigers in the drapery, the striped lounge chairs, and the checkered rug convene effortlessly against a soothing green envelope from the ceiling. Subtly woven into the space are four distinct wood finishes as well: the dark cherry-tinted, pronounced grain of the coffee table; the lighter, decadent burl of the side table; the classic warm wood flooring; and the black-stained frames of the bookcases. While the colour palette remains soft and restrained, these layered patterns and wood finishes imbue the room with a quiet but unmistakable identity of its own.
Hena was very creative in the designs she provided. The brief was to create rooms in which we’d feel warm and cocooned, but with a refreshing take on design. She infused our inspiration with her vision... [and] through collaboration, she got us outside of our comfort zone and the results are exactly what we wanted.
She also excelled in project management; she provided timely communication and a fast turnaround time, while managing expectations well. Any out of scope work was clarified up front, which eliminated any surprises with the invoices. The final design package with the details and project budget was very well organized and easy to follow. Overall, the engagement with Hena was definitely an investment worth making and we would strongly recommend working with Every Inch Studio.
